Personal Interest

  • 'Hometown Highlights': Growing up in Hearst and Timmins had its hardships, but there were many highlights as well. My brother Mike and I would tie up our skates at home and step out the front door and literally skate to the outdoor rink down the street. We'd shovel the snow off the rink and peel off winter clothing as we warmed up from the exercise.
  • Best feeling in the world: Lying on the ground on a warm night in the summer staring at the stars in the sky.
  • Favourite quote: The movie Mystery Alaska had several memorable quotes including Little Richard protesting that 'It's Cold' - my favourite quote comes from Russell Crowe as he is trying to encourage his pond hockey team to compete against the NY Rangers ... he notes that the Ranger players seem exhausted and he states that, 'they're breathing out of their mouths not their noses!'
  • Hidden Talent: T-drag snipe bar dizzle.
  • I’d love to have dinner with: Paul “Bear” Vasquez of 'Double Rainbow' fame … at my cottage.
