<p>Seeking to hire a graduate or junior engineer with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering. You are interested in and have some knowledge of building electrical systems, fire investigations, and electrical forensics. You are capable of reviewing electrical engineering drawings and specifications as well as PLC and logic diagrams. You are familiar with the Ontario Fire Code and its regulations as it pertains to buildings and structures. You are prepared to work alongside and take direction from a senior engineer in the field and in an office setting; as well as, conduct research on various elements related to electrical projects. You must be able to communicate with government agencies and follow the protocol of these agencies when dealing with fire codes and standards issues. You are capable of preparing technical reports and have the ability to communicate professionally with clients.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">You are a creative problem solver with the ability to independently plan and carry out projects that require the application of advanced technical knowledge, engineering experience and project management skills. You have had extensive exposure to failures in various building materials and building envelopes. You will provide structural and material assessments of structural components affected by fire, explosion, vibration, wind load, snow load, vehicle impact, ground movement and water (moisture) infiltration. Your structural scope of repair will be thoroughly outlined on Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) complete with specifications and guidelines that reflect present Codes and Standards. The drawings and specifications will be prepared and distributed to obtain accurate and quick estimates on the scope of repair. You have an understanding of the importance of cost effectiveness and expediting repairs. Your scope of repair will satisfy the protocol of local governmental agencies and avoid unnecessary delays.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Eligibility</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Intermediate Structural  Engineer</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Qualified designer with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (obtained a BCIN)  for small buildings and building structural (general legal/process included to  be qualified as a designer).</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Licensed professional engineer in the province of Ontario (P. Eng.).</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Work Experience: </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Minimum 4 years work experience in the field of civil engineering (construction engineering, building science engineering or structural design).</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Senior Structural Engineer</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>

Additionally, you have experience in the analysis of road construction related to applicable Geometric Design Standards; vehicle speed and motion analysis; pre-impact and post-impact vehicle orientation and travel; seatbelt, seat and airbag evaluations; vehicle lamp analysis; driver perception and reaction and visibility studies; occupant dynamics; evaluations of possible collision avoidance manoeuvre(s); implications of traffic control devices and environmental factors to the collision; vehicle recall searches for identification of possible vehicle mechanical deficiencies as contributors to the collision; and, driver identification from vehicle inspections and collection of evidence for DNA testing.</p>
<p><strong>Eligibility</strong></p>
<p>Your natural leadership skills allow you to guide the work of other technical staff in order to meet case deadlines and client expectations.<br />
You are licenced by the PEO and have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field of mechanical/metallurgical engineering. Supervisory experience would be an asset.</p>
